Modern terraced garden

< back to portfolio

This garden was completely overgrown and on a steep slope dominated by a beautiful Copper Beech tree that could hardly be seen. The design created a sunny morning and evening terrace and a secret shady evening retreat on the lower terraces with with a firepit for barbeques and bonfires. After neglecting our garden for years, we finally decided to get a professional to help us fix it. We asked Frances to both design and project manage our garden transformation, wanting a single point of contact throughout the process. Despite our lack of gardening knowledge or ideas, she was able to come up with a number of great designs to transform our jungle of a garden into something stylish and relaxing. After presenting the separate designs to us, Frances then took our favourite bits of each and combined them into something far better than we could have hoped for (and far, far better than we could have done ourselves). With the design perfected, Frances then took on her role as project manager, getting quotes from trades companies that she knew could be trusted and would do a good job. Once we'd agreed on prices, she then arranged for them to start work, managing the work schedules so that everything went smoothly with only a few days where there wasn't something being done. Each of the companies was excellent (including Anthony doing the landscaping, Lee doing the planting, and Leeds Electrical all the wiring) with all work being done to the highest standard. We couldn't be happier with how everything went - having a stress-free transformation from an overgrown mess into a beautiful garden in only a few months - and wholeheartedly recommend Frances for anyone wanting their gardens improved
